Tune In To Success: Mastering Real Estate One Episode at a Time

I’ll admit it: I’m hooked on podcasts.

Most of my personal playlist is pure entertainment. Depending on the day, you’ll find me listening to Survivor recaps, movie and theater reviews, or a good true crime mystery. But lately, I’ve been leaning on podcasts for something else entirely: continuing education. Whether I want to pick up a new skill or sharpen the marketing and writing tools I’ve relied on for years, there’s a show out there for literally every topic you can imagine.

When it comes to real estate, estimates suggest there are anywhere from 5,000 to 7,000 podcasts floating around out there.

That’s a lot of noise. And the truth is, only a small fraction of them stick to a regular schedule, sound good, and actually offer advice worth your time. I spent some time digging through the airwaves to find the ones that really deliver.

You can usually search for podcasts on their own websites, but the easiest place to listen is through apps like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, Amazon Music, or iHeartRadio.

(A quick disclaimer: The following list is just a resource to help you learn and isn’t an official endorsement by NHAR or NH REALTOR® Magazine. Use your best judgment with what you hear!)

Here are eight solid podcasts worth a spot in your queue:

1. National Association of REALTORS® Podcasts

Produced by the nation’s largest trade network, NAR offers a handful of shows geared toward agents and consumers alike. Nobody has a better bird’s-eye view of the industry. For the sharpest news and strategy, check out the Advocacy Scoop Podcast, REALTOR® News Change Agents, or Real Estate Today.

2. NHAR Getting Real

Recorded right in Concord by the New Hampshire Association of REALTORS®, this is the go-to listen for Granite State agents. It breaks down local housing stats, state legislative updates (think OPLC licensing, ADUs, and HOA rules), legal risk management advice, and interviews with local leaders.

3. HousingWire’s Podcast Network

Consider this a three-in-one deal. HousingWire Daily gives you a quick morning breakdown of market headlines. Power House drops on Thursdays with deep dives into leadership and growth. And RealTrending airs Mondays, bringing in seasoned pros to share what’s actually working in the field.

4. Real Estate Rockstars

This is easily one of the most popular shows in the business, mostly because it gets straight to the point. The hosts run candid, granular interviews with top producers. Instead of general fluff, you get actual numbers, commission structures, scripts, and marketing tactics you can borrow for your own market.

5. The Millionaire Real Estate Agent (MREA) Podcast

Hosted by Keller Williams’ Head of Learning, Jason Abrams, this show unpacks the core business systems built around Gary Keller’s classic book. It focuses heavily on lead generation, team building, and database management—ideal for New Hampshire agents looking to grow from a solo business to a team.

6. REconomy by First American

Hosted by First American economists Mark Fleming and Odeta Kushi, this short-format show translates big economic shifts—interest rates, inventory shortages, and buyer demographics—into plain English. It gives you real data to share with clients who are trying to make sense of the market.

7. Talk Real Estate (Boston Connect)

Hosts Sharon McNamara and Melissa Wallace are New England real estate vets who focus on issues unique to our region. They cover local transaction quirks, buyers moving across the MA/NH border, title hiccups, and smart ways to educate clients.

8. Behind the Title

Produced down in Portsmouth by the team at Treworgy & Baldacci, this show dives into the actual mechanics of getting a deal closed across Maine and New Hampshire. It tackles the unglamorous, high-stress stuff—boundary disputes, title red flags, and closing snags—with practical advice and a good sense of humor.

Final Thought

The best agents never stop learning.

You can earn continuing education credits in a classroom, but you can also pick up fresh ideas during your daily commute. A 30-minute podcast won’t make you an instant expert, but over the course of a year it can introduce you to new marketing strategies, changing regulations, better technology, and different ways to serve your clients.
